31 knots - john

It is no secret that I am a big dork for Polyvinyl Records… Some of my favorite indie bands rep their set ( Rainer Maria, Saturday Looks Good To Me, all things Kinsella) so I am very pleased to report that the group 31 Knots lives up to my high Polyvinyl expectations.
31 Knots is from Portland despite their DC post punk sound. Their angular guitar, off kilter rhythms and amazing singing landed the group on tour with Q and Not U which eventually led to their record deal with Polyvinyl. Musically, they are Fugazi mellow at points then drop into Fugazi intensity. All of the songs are great on the Polemics EP, and it looks like Polyvinyl is selling it with a t shirt online here.
check it out and thanks for visiting the site!
