yelle on toast - luther

So my good friend Eric turned me onto this hot, sort of new chica called Yelle from Cote Ouest, France. Though I don't know French, I know these songs are the joint and merit your full and upright attention. Dirty synths, phat beats, and glitchy twitchy snares and stabs abound, lending energy akin to that of M.I.A. and Uffie. On Source Records, what I've gathered from the mostly French speaking web site, is that there is a 4 song EP out called Je Veux Te Voir, and it's doing relatively well in France.

The beats are handled by Euro jack-of-all-trades, Grand Mariner, who is well established in the electro/pop/club scene in France. This MP3 of the lead single Je Veux Te Voir,  translated to Short Dick Cuizi (make of it what you will), was remixed by Tepr and isn't available on the single.

this is great! i really dig the toonz from her myspace page... the link from rapid share is expired or someshit tho. can't get it to work...

i really enjoy the leg warmers.

this is good. i havn't heard this be4. ouioui

Je veux te voir in French really means, "I want to see you." Je veux= I want, te, being the possessive of "you" and voir is the inconjugated verb "to see."

I don't know where this dick business came from. Love the tunes, hate the translations.

Also, Luther, I thought you'd particularly appreciate, that Côte Ouest translated means West Coast. This chick is west coast crunk.
