radiant success - luther (dallas,tx)

Recently we brought you a write up on a CD release show for a local band by the name of Radiant. Get used to that name. Radiant has been around for a good while, more than paying their dues, and it shows. In the performance at the Granada theater their admirable perform ace and skill was only matched by their stage presence and professional showmanship. The fruit of which produced a tight, catchy, listenable, and wholly spot-on full length album, We Hope You Win. It's a good thing they worked all that out.

Recently the band was contacted by Jimmy Kimmel live to inform them that they were in the final running for a contest called the Countdown to Number 1, in which the show trys to track down the best unsigned band in America. Shortly thereafter the band was informed that they had won the whole kit and caboodle. At this moment they are in New York City, all expenses payed (for the whole week, at that) doing press conferences and whatnot, with all of it leading up to New Years Eve when they will be the supporting act for My Chemical Romance in Times Square. The subsequent recording of the performance of That Girl will be aired on Jimmy Kimmel. So, yeah, don't expect them to be unsigned much longer. Radiant is gonna be huge, so keep your eyes open, watch Jimmy Kimmel, and buy their new CD here.
