we're not here, please leave a massage - luther (dallas,tx)
So, at this point, John and I are both in Marfa on vacation, so, we don't really owe you anything here, do we? But, since we are such generous, caring, and downright incredible human beings, here is a little rundown of some cool stuff going on in DFW this weekend:

The Cavern (dallas): Friday night, the fifth, will be Black Heart Society, Calhoun, The Chemistry Set, and A Pacific Model. This is a pretty great local lineup for Dallas, and the Cavern is tha' bomb.
Haileys (denton): You can catch Calhoun and the Chemistry set instead (or again) on Saturday night, the sixth, at Haileys. Or check out Sunday, the seventh's, show; Cartwright and Prayer for Animals. I keep hearing great things about PFA; check this shit out.
Opening Bell Coffee (dallas): I've been hearing a lot about this Eaton Lake Tonics from Fort Worth lately, so if you have the chance, check out the myspace, check out the show tonight. He's also playing at Rubber Gloves later this month. Also at this show will be A Childlike Fear.
The Moon Bar (ft.worth): So, the Flashlight Party will soon be no more (dividing themselves between New York and Austin), so if you want some fun 80's night magic, you want to see these killer DJ's in thier prime, and you don't want to drive all the way to Denton to dance; check out this dance night on Thursday, the fourth.
Well, anyway, there is some fun stuff going on about town, so you have no excuse to come whining to us that your weekend was no fun. Unless you don't live in DFW.
