The Laughing have completed their debut EP Tiger Cry, and in preparation for their release concert on February 10th at the Red Scoot Inn the band is posting one song a week on their illustrious Myspace site for streamed listening. Show Your Stripes is up this week on their site. Swing on by and familiarize yourself with their music and their upcoming concerts, and their photo gallery is a must see. Check at least once a week to keep hearing the amazing rock one song at a time…
Now that their MP3s are available - my warnings I have been issuing since October are being heeded. Folks from all over the country are hopping on board the Laughing train because of the baritone sax, the vintage keyboards, the killer drumbeats, the raw energy and above all- the teal shirts and the white tigers with single tears.
With each Laughing performance I catch, I find myself in awe of what I see. It is the sort of thing that people will not even believe is about to break out. Imagine seeing the Unicorns before America went bonkers for their irreverent, self-aware rock. Now imagine them more polished and more talented. That is about what the Laughing is like right now. Or, imagine seeing Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah before they were exported from Brooklyn and excavated as the poster children of indie rock, turning to the person beside you and just hitting them on the arm to get their attention, and then giving a big goofy grin of approval in an effort to build instant unified camaraderie in the presence of something that is both immensely fun and good. That is about what the Laughing is like right now.

John, it appears you encoded the song in m4a format not mp3. I dont know a whole lot about such technicalities, but i think that might be why some people cant play it. Also, our tiger Svan would tear a live unicorn to shreds! let a alone the anonymous commentors.....
