As if you need me to tell you about any other things going on this week…. When it comes to Friday you know what to DO DURING THE DAY but what about the evening? Well, get your shit started off right with SWOLL where local hip-hop heart throbs Prince Klassen and DJ Mel start things off with deep beats from the heart of Texas until the audience is sweaty and primed to give it up for out of towners (yet no strangers to Austin) DJ Tittsworth, Small-town DJs and the MuthaFuckin RUB! The Rub is my absolute favorite excuse to go the Beauty Bar and spend too much money on drinks because the last few times they have come thru have been as insane as Jim Carry in the Number 23. We are very lucky to have such a great lineup of stuff to do on Friday and I can’t wait!
After the Rub (or the cops) shuts the place down around 2, head over to the most buzzed about after party of all of SXSW! I Heart Comix/Viva la Rock/Triple 5 Soul bring you the best of the best of the fest this year from 9pm- 5am with free booze all night long at Blue Genie in Austin. RSVP now to! Come see Chromeo, Diplo, SPANKROCK, Amanda Blank, Bonde Do Role, and A-trak! This is going to be the jump off. Both parties are east Austin so you can hitch hike with no problems.
