ghosthustlin' - luther (dallas,tx)

Whow, where the fuck did this come from? Thanks a bunch to We Shot JR for doing a writup on this great new group out of Denton called Ghosthustler. This shit has dance floor classic written all over it: minimal, grimy, and accesible, with just enough hooks to keep you interested. The vocals remind me of pre-Austin Brit Daniels, crunched through an old crate-combo, while the instramentation doesn't seem to stray from bleeping, lo-fi, digital kitsch with enough lowend to bounce downtown with a couple of 40 inches in the trunk. This is what DFW needs more of.

There isn't anything to download yet, but check out these tracks on thier Myspace and see them tonight (as the first band) at home-sweet-home, Rubber Gloves in Denton with Cry Blood Apache, Eat Avery's Bones, and the Undoing of David Wright.

Stream: Ghosthustler - (Myspace Site)

And read more at We Shot JR.

Go Denton, maybe it's time for a new direction like this one.

That is the best name I have seen in a while.

WTF? That is good.

does anyone know if there is an official site or a way to get the mp3s or buy the cd?

Yeah, this is good, and so is that Undoing of David Wright band, I think they share a member.
