yeah, whatev - luther (dallas,tx)

I was listening to the Adventure Club last night and finally got around to hearing something from the new Clap Your Hands Say Yeah record Some Loud Thunder and, well, it was pretty damn good. They had some big, home made shoes to fill and it sounds like they did, even if there isn't all that much here that's particularly new for the sextet. I only heard the title track, which sounded fuller and a little more professional than the previous record, but still retained that sort of home-recorded charm that set apart the debut (though I've read more than a few articles on the recording process they went through on that first record and it was not, by any means, in a home studio). So here is another couple of tracks from the recently available new album.

MP3: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Love Song No. 7

MP3: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Underwater (You and Me)

And my favorite off of the first full-length:

MP3: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Upon This Title Wave of Young Blood

You can buy the new album here.
