ufffffffffffff - luther (dallas,tx)
Since day one, post three of Party Ends, Uffie has been representative of what we are about here. At the time, it was hot, new, ironic, and fun music, good in it's field, independent in nature, and obscure by choice. Well, things change, and not only have we expanded our horizons, so has little Uffie, of course.

Maintaining stunning popularity in the most elite of circles with only a few songs and an exclusive attitude, tracks like Pop the Glock have become classics beyond even, I'm sure, the 19year-old's expectations or even wildest dreams. My taste for the tongue in cheek hip-hop-tress has waxed and wained since those early days when I was introduced to her minimal faux-gangsta' style at a stupidly-uber-hip SXSW party in a clothing store along side other right-time-right-place-faves like Princess Superstar, but I feel that in spirit I have remained vigilant. I always check to see if she has finally released a new track, let alone a full length album, and I am determined to at least try to enjoy any songs that come along, despite her apparent peak with those first couple of tunes, and I have maintained the faith through all the Cobra Snake appearances and Pharell name drops. And so, I was excited when I dropped by the ol' MySpace, having noticed a new picture on her profile, to find something I hadn't heard yet, and wanted to share it with you. I don't know how new it is, but if it's old, maybe I can make it up to you by posting a bunch of other shit by her that I personally think is the best. Plus it's an excuse to post another picture of her. Chi-check it:
